Proprietary Futures Trader – Agricultural (Singapore, HK or China)

AP Capital is a diversified investment firm globally trading equities, commodities, FX, fixed income (Bonds, Credit & Rates). We adopt market neutral strategies to minimize the impact of market turbulence and maximize investment potential. Furthermore, we aim to provide risk-adjusted returns while improving liquidity.

As a Futures Trader specializing in the agriculture sector, you will play a pivotal role in building the desk, trading book & generating revenue.

You will lead and manage:

• Utilize expertise in the agricultural commodities industry to create and implement commodity arbitrage trading strategies and execution (China vs Global arbitrage)
• Take ownership of arbitrage trading for agricultural and commodity futures, including both offshore and onshore products such as Grains, Vegetable Oils, Soybeans, and related products
• Organize and consolidate business segment holdings, monitor brokerage bank funds and monthly positions, and promptly communicate updates to the trading supervisor
• Collect, organize, and analyze industry data, monitor market trends, conduct research within the agricultural sector, and prepare insightful research reports
• Identify and evaluate valuable investment opportunities within the agricultural commodities market

Qualifications:

• Possess minimally 3 years of hands-on experience in futures or securities finance, with expertise in futures or commodities arbitrage and a proven P&L track record
• Demonstrate perceptive market insights, strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with effective communication, coordination, and execution abilities
• Show initiative, responsibility, and execution capability, with excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative team spirit
• Thrive in diverse work environments and manage work pressure effectively
• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field
